Default Counting Question

I just recently started card counting. I decided to go with the Red 7 Count as to eliminate calculating the true count. I feel like that is just one less thing for me to worry about. My question is this. I prefer dealing with positive numbers. Would there be any disadvantages to shifting the scale as to deal with mostly positive numbers. Say add twenty to the scale making twenty the neutral number. For example a 6 deck game the starting count would be 8(negative 2 for each deck) and when the count hits 20 the deck would be considered neutral and anything above 20 would be positive count. I know mathematically it makes sense but are there any disadvantages when it comes to the card counting if I were to do this. thanks for the help.

I see nothing wrong with this, as long as you aren't getting confused

Good luck and if a minus count appears I'd run for the hills!!!
