reno top of deck?
I was in reno last year 05, in the downtown area. I saw s casino unsure which one with a banner saying top of deck BJ pays 25 to 1 even if the dealer gets it. Does anyone know anything about this such as where this is, gimmicks of game etc... Going back next month

There must have been more to it - as described it would be a very profitable bet for the players. zg

Just got back from a 3 day Reno trip on 1-24. Played downtown the entire time. Saw nothing like that sign anywhere. Best games I found were Sands(though not as good as last year) and Peppermill.

its cal-neva and it cost 1$ if you want to play that for you. and another dollar if you want to play for the dealer getting a bj

jwchef said that it paid 25-1! These bets usually only pay 15-1 or 18-1 - at 25-1 its a great bet. The other problem with these bets is they are limited to $1, hardly worth the effort. zg

There IS more to it!
It's top of deck only and 18:1, Cal-Neva.(as of late '06)

There are similar bets all over Laughlin. A dealer told me that Don Laughlin himself invented this side bet.But there it is only about 10-1 and if you bet both you and the dealer, you hit a progressive that starts at about $60 and moves higher.

Shad, the odds of you hitting a BJ in a SD are 20.7:1 and with a combined BJ with the dealer are 435:1. No way, Jose!
