Default Bet Calculation based on hi-lo

I'm curious to see how others figure out their bet based on the true count. Different books/websites seem to do the calculation differently. In one of andy bloch's counting videos he says to use (TrueCount - 1) X Unit Bet. Schleshinger's book uses a chart. I've also see just (TrueCount x Unit) in various places. There appears to be different schools of thought so I thought I'd see what everybody else does.

Using observed conditions, including penetration, I run a sim on my laptop to come up with an optimal bet ramp based on my bankroll and comfortable risk of ruin factor. I then take this, down to the very last penny, bet ramp and adjust it for the denomination of chips I will be using (and usually try looking for a way to cut waiting bet at -minus and zero counts, and spreading to two hands of 75% each at counts above +4, for good measure).
