Default Ads in the back of The Big Blackjack Book

Is anyone familiar with the charts advertized for busting games. The ones that are $25 each or all six for $95?
If they were in most other books,I'd figure them for a scam, but am undecided about Mr Snyder and company.

The ads in the back of the book were put there by the publisher. I don’t think Arnold had any control over them. The Beat The X-Deck Game series are legit but I have serious doubts about the other systems.

Would you recommend them?

Not really. The books are basically just simulation results. You can use any of the available software packages to get more customized numbers for your style of play. They were very handy before simulation software was widely available, but now you are better off having the software than getting the books.

Default What Did You Guys Think of the Big Book of BJ?

I have reservations. So-so, IMHO.

Not quite a training book, not quite a anecdote book, not quite a
history book. A little of everything, not much of anything.

Is there enough info in it to turn an interested newbie into a counter?
Any stress on discipline, practice, BR and bet strategy required?

I enjoyed reading it, except for the never ending Scarne stories.
But I'm a bookworm, anyway.

I was a bit disappointed in it,myself.A few good stories,a couple of helpful hints.Scarne is long dead. No reason to keep kicking his corpse.
