Jesus wouldn't run, would he? He made it very clear that His kingdom was not of this world. But I'm sure if He were willing they'd be grinding out an amendment to the Constitution right now. Maybe Arnold can get an amendment,too, but he'd better hurry before he gets too old. I'm not sure Buddha could win the popular vote; Americans don't yet have enough exposure to Eastern thought, religion and culture. Maybe in a decade or two. I wonder whether they'd run as Republicans, Democrats or Independents? How would you like a President who could read your most secret thoughts? The ability to foresee the future would certainly be helpful in policymaking. Do you think this would be fair to the rest of the world?

There are fairly large Asian-American communities in major metropolitan areas on the coasts. They're pretty apolitical in general, and most are single-issue voters on either taxes or immigration.

Asian-Americans in California were making a push to vote as a block so that they'd have more political clout. They chose Clinton.

Of course the only communism we've seen in this world has been atheistic, and in actual practice the rich got richer and the poor got poorer (sounds like the result other economic systems as well, I know).

His plea to feed the poor and perform other acts of mercy was aimed at personal morality and responsibility, not the assumption of those personal requirements by government. I don't remember Him criticizing the Roman or Jewish governments for not feeding the poor.

And adultery should not be a crime against the state to begin with, but I am sure He would support the protection of society from violent criminals, murderers, armed robbers and rapists. I wonder if He'd be against drug use crimes and all other crimes in which there is no victim? That's an area where we the people of the US should be able to bring about a change ourselves.

The very best form of government......buttttt....it has to be voluntary by all parties involved for it to work.....for starters, everybody gives up whatever they have to the community and it is distributed to each according to his need.
