Default Sizing the discards - 6d

Any trick for sizing the discards. I suppose just good old eyeballing is all. I tried to memorize a multiplier for heads up play based on rounds played but it was just too much mental activity with a 6d shoe.

Uston suggests making 1-6 deck pack to view in your spare time as practice.

I don't know if there is any real trick or not. Just thought I would ask.

I sure run into some close calls that have me hesitating and besides the trouble of making tough calls the hesitation could flag heat.

I suppose you could lock in a value before the deal and fix that in your head for the round so you would not be figuring so much during play.

Buy six decks of cards from the casino you plan to play at.
