Default Casino War

I have only ever seen 8 deck versions of this game but Shackleford posts house edges for 1-8 decks. Has anyone ever seen versions with fewer than 8 decks? Single deck?
Thanks,
BW

The versions that I've seen use CSMs so I don't know how many decks they use.

The house edge for this game is high enough so that counting probably won't help.

Not every shoe game can be counted. Baccarrat, for instance, has a pretty low house edge and is dealt from a shoe, but the problem is that the disappearance of cards doesn't affect the play as much as it does for blackjack. As a result, I believe a 3/4-6/7 count works for baccarrat, but you'll need a TC of +18 before the EV goes positive.

In order for a game to be countable, you need all three:
(1) a low house edge
(2) a strong dependence of play on certain cards
(3) knowledge of the history of cards dealt

If any one is missing, you can't count.

It is uncountable. But cards could still be flashed, marked, sequenced, or otherwise tracked. Still no one has answered other than Sonny so I'll assume CSM's and 8 deck shoes are generally the only way this game is played as that is all that I have seen.

I've never bothered with the game so I have no idea.Harrahs Vegas has a game where you play BJ,War and Poker all at once. The dealer hand deals,if I remember correctly. No idea how many decks are used. The people playing it seem to always be having a good time.I suspect they must put their most outgoing dealers on this game.
