What's the probability?

of losing 16 hands in a row, winning 2, then losing another 12 hands in a row? because I just had that happen to me and I'm not sure if I should just leave the casino now.. wow talk about negative variance.

If you play enough blackjack it will happen. As a matter of fact I have had at least 4 streaks of at least 20 straight losses, one of which perhaps challenged 30 if you consider splits and doubles as multiple losses and do not count pushes.
Sure it is rare, but if you play enough the rare stuff (both good and bad) happens. I have played a 6 deck shoe heads up and lost two hands, pushed several and won the rest.

I once pushed 8 times in a row, including two 21's. Everything is bound to happen sooner or later.
