Funny thing is he was playing on his wifes card,in order to build up points on her account. The rules state the player MUST be using his own card. After what must have felt like an extremely long one hour discussion amongst the suits at green Valley, they decided to pay him the $95,000 prize that popped up on his machine at random.
I wonder if the fact that he is a writer with a hugh audiance affected their thinking.

That would be a hard sell to Gaming, that whether or not they pay you depends on what players' card you have in the machine. They would have to prove you illegally manipulated the game to not pay you.

So why bother having a rule that you must play on your own card?
According to Mr Dancer, some casinos are very strict about this, and others aren't.
As this is a promotion,I think the casino can set its own rules. Had he won a mega-jackpot on the machine,I think you would be correct, but a promotion may be another story. Was the award randomly given to that machine or to that player? If it was awarded to that player, and she's not there, you might have a cause for denying the payment,I would think. Less so if the award went to a random machine.
