Chicago DD

A step in the right

direction:) Good for GV Elgin.

But really, if you have a Jones for DD you can find better and not be confined to a 1 to 5 spread.

Just take a "BJ Holiday" and indulge you wildest BJ fantasy(s)

Get smart and get *down*, and then get.......up...on it;)

I played a Fine DD spreading 1 to 8 on 2 spots (2 to 16) for under 2 hours then walked. I was watched but received no real heat, yes I won. But no casino will take that kind of spread and and win for an extended period, not at DD:eek:

I know that if I continued this type of spread the casino would become insulted and then angry and then it becomes a me against you attitude and you as a player may be finished, unless of course you are a loser. But if you win, as I do, it is suicide to overplay and take advantage of your welcome.

Are YOU listening out there? Yes YOU! The lesson here is to not be a glutton as you will destroy the Goose that lays the golden egg and you will be ending your playing career. The danger you may face will come at you from more than ONE direction....do not be greedy, do not be a glutton, the ice will indeed become very thin:whip:

Learn the special skillz that will allow you to keep playing a positive money making game for a very extended period of time.

The article is slightly incorrect. Contrary to the article, DD is there for $100 min too.

There is a new high limit room at Elgin. It has been open for about a month.

There are four tables there. 2 tables of DD. 1 table 6D shoe. 1 table Baccarat. When I went to take a look. it was as follows

1DD - $200 min
1DD - $100 min
1Shoe - $100 min
1Bacc - $100 min

I did not spread as I was just doing some recon. Played < 1 hr. Saw the game protection. Very playable game. Went up some betting units and got out.

Anyways, it is nice that there is a good DD game in the Chicago area with a 100 dollar min.

Its a nice game. I'l admit that, but frankly I'm a little tired of it all. I think that counting is kinda of like riding a bike. You learn it, it becomes second nature.

So if I'm at the tables, its like I am on Auto mode. but then that time at the tables could be spent doing other things. taking a walk. eating dinner with friends etc.

the game will always be there (well at least for the next ten years?)

I used to chase good games, but now its more like...oh I have a business trip - well let's see what is in the area vs. let's see where we can go and what we can win/exploit.

I was in the NW Chicago side area and thought well its not much further to Elgin so I went.

Will i go back? I think so...do I have a burning edge to hit the game before hoards of advantage players try and burn it out?

I appreciate your feelings and certainly respect them.

However I still, when confronted by a fine game, morph into stalking mode, my pupils dialate, my breathing becomes deep and slow and my focus narrows to the game, and only the game, the game is my prey, and I want to pounce with unholy resolve.....,,,,,...but that is just me:devil:

Amusing that he calls H17 DAS rules "among the best in the country". Not to mention other things you could find like S17, RSA, or surrender.
In my travels, I have not yet found surrender on a DD game. Does thsi exist?
