Wheeling and Mountaineer report

I thought I'd update the conditions in the wv casinos for anyone thinking about going. The IQs and the shoe sizes are pretty much the same for alot of players there this weekend. The opportunities abound for the smart player with a good bankroll to attack the $25min tables. It is 8d though but didn't detect any hassles from the pit toward the players that were playing. I was able to play the 10min table with a good spread without any heat what so ever. The only drawback to the places mentioned is the people think you don't want to play alone and need someone else to sit down and make stupid plays and comments. This does make for an interesting act because stupid is the rule so you can get away with alot of index plays. blackchipjim

Those same IQs are in the poker room with big stacks of chips in front of them. You don't have to extract them from the casino after they have lost them, you can take them directly from the idiots.

Sub-Marginal Games ?

I heard that the BJ games were 8 deckers with 2 - 2.5 decks cut off; and that some of the low stakes tables use CSM's (Continuous Shuffle Machines)

Can you confirm what the rules and penetration are like ?

Re:

Yes. Both Mountaineer and Wheeling Island are 8 deckers and cut anywhere from 1.5-2.5 depending on the dealer. DAS,DOA,S17,Resplit pairs twice for a total of 3 hands. The CSMS have been removed from WI and Mountaineer never had them.

I thought there was supposed to be a 5-deck game at Wheeling. Does anyone know about this?
Some CSM tables use 5 decks and since Wheeling used to have CSMs this is propably why you heard they have 5 deckers?
