webcam casinos

anybody got any experience with webcam casinos and know any good casinos out there? I found this one, seems like a suckers choice. this is some of thier claims.

"For all card games, the cards are shuffled when the yellow 'shuffle marker' card is dealt, which is generally after 4 of the 8 decks have been dealt. "

"Casinowebcam reserves the right to freeze and forfeit player accounts due to actual or suspected Fraudulent activity;
[...]
- Using Card Counting or other measures as determined solely by Casinowebcam and/or it's authorized agents on Table Games." (they can do that?)

also does anybody know whether it's legal using programs calculating odds on online casinos?

cheers

I've placed recent articles about webcam style casinos. Both include screenshots. Details are at:

and

To my knowledge, there is no issue calculating odds on these live casinos - i.e. watching a few table hands and counting before playing etc.

Live blackjack games on UK cable TV.

I was curious enough to spend 20 minutes watching a live blackjack game being broadcast on a cable channel. Amusing to say the least.

If you're a gambler, and are desperate to lay a bet, it's probably fine. If you don't mind risking money under the guise of entertainment that's fine too. But I would say for anyone who is looking to play blackjack beyond BS (and has invested time in polishing up their game) don't even bother to check it out. The game is painfully slow (a requirement of the licence I believe), shuffle ups come too often and the inane banter of the idiots who deal is an insult to the intelligence of anyone having enough savvy to remember the rules of the game. I would put it in the category of a fairground attraction (a carny game as our US cousins would say).

Better to spend the time applying BS online with a bonus option that effectively negates the house edge, or throws it over in the favour of those players who know how to exploit it.

PS - have just found the website:

http://www.liveroulette.com/liveblackjack.html#

Here are the rules (don't laugh!).

- Eight 52 card Decks, shuffled after 108 cards are dealt.
- The Dealer must stand on a soft 17.
- The Dealer must hit on a hand of 16 or less.
- The Player automatically stands a hard 19.
- Insurance on hands is only offered when the Player is dealt a Blackjack (two cards, one an ace and one a value of 10) and the Dealer is dealt an ace.
- The Player may double down on their first two cards. Doubling down means you double your stake on the hand. A Double down is allowed when a soft or hard 9,10 or 11 are drawn.
- A Player may double down when a hand is first split.
- Hands are split when certain pairs are drawn as the first two cards.
- When a pair of aces are split, only one more card can be dealt to those hands.
- Hands may be split only once.
- Hands may not be surrendered at any time.
- During the first round of play the Dealer is dealt just one card, while each Player’s hand is dealt two. - Decks are re-shuffled and cut at the discretion of the house

Can you really double down a 2 card soft 11? Thats a Blackjack? I once was told by a pitboss that they let a guy do this after an argument about it.

Who the hell want to double a soft 11 regardless of the count or situation?

I expect by soft 11 he's talking about say a 6 and a 5, or a 7 and a 4 together. Rather than an ace and a picture (which correctly would be a blackjack).
