"He was repeatedly asked what kind of safeguards and mechhanisms are going to be put in motion ,and he avoided it meaning he has no idea ."
Are you sure it meant he has no idea? Maybe it meant there are no safeguards, as long as the big boys get their pockets stuffed, who cares?
"That is like asking for a blank check with a signature and we will fill in the amounts later and tell you how we are going to spend it as well"
That is pretty much how this Administration has been doing it for the past 8 years, what else is new? You are lucky that they are even telling you there actually is a check this time.

Larouche, whom I otherwise dislike because he wants to really WIN the war on drugs and I want to END it, is THE man with THE plan - the abolishment of US central Bank and a return to the Hamiltonian system, combined with the type of vast infrastructure rollouts that allowed us to BUILD our way out of the (last) Great Depression. zg

Wasn't Hamilton the dude who opposed Tom Jefferson by working for a strong Federal government. Yikes! Sounds like he would be in favor of a ruling elite, reduced states rights, and ever encroaching role of government in peoples' lives. A government controlled banking system does not a free and thriving Republic make! But it's a step.
Build out way out of the last Great Depression? We have not gotten out of it yet. Parts of it have simply been delayed--like the 10 trillion dollar debt we owe to the FDR Social Security System. There never should have been a wholesale retirement system sponsored by the Federal government. The government should have stopped with a safety net for the poor of this country. Also, it is better to have businesses provide a retirement system with enforceable rules and oversight that protect the American worker. Free enterprise should be free, but not free to abuse the American workforce.
Building our way out of the Great Depression by going off the gold standard? That's a building that will not stand. What were they thinking? Free money? Is that where the notion of a free lunch came from? Somebody has to pay. I guess we may be the generation that pays.
Every single socialistic program that this country embarks on will have a price tag far greater that the value obtained for some short period of time. All that these social programs do is postpone the day of reckoning for government sticking its nose where it does not belong, to do something that it can not afford, often for someone who does not need it, and just as often for things that the private sector can do better itself. And in the process, socialism takes away a person's incentive to do something for him or herself. The very backbone of this nation is at stake, that virtue of American independence and individualism. Government with its hands in everything squashes the American soul into mediocrity. It is happening everywhere that socialism has been allowed to take hold.
