Default retailers are going down

as the consumer who accounts for 55% of a retailers yearly profits will be missing this season . Why ? The average consumer is spent out and worries more about the heating , cooling , fuel, mortgage and credit card debt then going further in the hole . This , I feel, will be a very rough season for retailers trying to make the number . Wal-Mart and Costco and B.J.'s should do fine along with Tiffany and a few other high end stores but the rest are going to be in a battle for their life . Shop hard and smart and help put borderline retailers out of business folks . Last minute or the day after is even better as the prices really fall hard .

Shopping by zipcode also helps. Agreed, W-Mart, Target look OK, as does Tiffany's and Coach. I'm seeing more locals in the W-Mart in the next-door town.

Default indeed mate

In my area I have seen people who shopped at Mordstroms now shopping at Dillards , Dillard shoppers now shopping at Target, target shoppers now are at Wal-Mart and K-Mart . Like a pecking order so to speak . People are dropping down in class . there is a nike store at legacy Village here and a Dallas shoe warehouse opened across from it . I went into the nike store and saw a pair of tennis shoes I liked and I asked the guy if he could do any better on the price ? He said absolutely not - they were marked down from$220 to $189.99 . I asked him if there was any gift cards , CD"s, or hookers that came along with the shoes and he laughed and said no . I walked across the mall to DSW and they had tennis shoes by Real Balance for for $39.99 that looked as good if not better so I asked him if i bought 3 pairs could he cut me a deal ??? The manager came over and said if it was cash no credit card $90.00 plus tax . I bought them immediately and now have tennis shoes for the 6 years . Not bad got 3 pair at literally half price and I will not need to buy tennis shoes forever.:laugh :

Yeah, got a laugh myself on that one. There is a CEO of a local steel Co. in these parts (a finish mill, not foundry) that as of last reconoiter had hired 3 shoppers to go get the W-Mart goodies. Never can be caught dead in a W-Mart for sure.

Default good post josh

and there is a ton of sites people should use out there to save money . It is like a game of chess to see what moves you can make to save the most money and put it to the retailers . I love it !!!!!!
