Campbell's is still made in this country?

a low dollar makes it dirt cheap and a great export. we need a whole lot more items made here to take advantage of a cheap dollar.

Cool

Actually, Kelloggs and McDonalds aren't doing too bad either, and have weathered the initial phase OK. BTW if these stocks are of significance, then grab a Health-Care stock or two... sugar, salt, fat and cholesterol... the 4 major food groups.

Theres plenty of face cards to make 20, but it takes an Ace to make Blackjack.

no clue on that buddy !!!! When I sold my businesses 3 years ago I cashed out the IRA and the 401K and was kicking myself . Happy I did not wait as it would of been bad news !! I got top buck for my businesses , warehouses , and all the real estate and today I could not get half or worse might not even be able to sell it . The market and the economy has a long ways down yet to go .

Yup! But nobody here remembers soup lines including you and me--we heard about them from our parents! Apples and pencils might be a good investment, too. Name: williamtell.gif

Default yep aslan

there was 2 hookers in Fed Court filing bankruptcy and the judge asked them why ??? Both in unison said " business is so bad your honor we can't even give it away " !!!!!! The downturn is going to continue especially now the euro is in trouble big time . Funny the boneheads are still buying the dollar and it is going to inflate like the Goodyear blimp sooner then later . It is now aglobal crisis and perhaps this will start to sink in sooner or later . The Jap Yen and the Chinese Yuan though seem to be unaffected actually ! It will be interesting to see how things go !!!!!!

Souplines... my parents remember that and the apples and pencils. I see in our local supermarket flyers that soup is on sale.... Chunky used to be $2.59 locally... now 3/$4.... go figure. However... W-Mart has had Chunky for $1.68 (say 3/$5) for 3 years running!, and they dropped to $1.50 recently. Perhaps W-Mart saw this financial mess early... lol

Default that is easy to figure

people are buying the generic "Chunky" soup that is made by Campbells on the same assembly line and in the same factory . I was in the food business for 40 years amongst other sideline investments and I was at Kelloggs in Battle Creek Michigan and saw the line run rice crispies - my fav - and then I saw them run Krispy rice for wal-mart without the line slowing down for a heartbeat . Tell you anything my friend ?????
