Default Is this worth continuing.

I've not visted here for a while because I've been busy playing. I nearly gave up until I switched to a highly aggressive backcounting strategy. It seems to
have reversed my previous hammerings somewhat.

The rules of the games i'm getting in my local casinos are as follows,

70% penetration (sometimes varies from 68% - 80% depending on dealer but mostly 70%)
6 Decks
Double any two cards
Split any pairs of cards
double after split
resplit aces
rider bets are allowed
no hole card
no surrender
no insurance
blackjack pays 3 to 2
dealer stands on soft 17

What i'm doing now when I don't get very good penetration is to backcount religiously until TC 4 or 5 and then bet table maximum with two boxes.
I don't get any heat because of my previous status/history as a regular degenerate gambler. The spread I was using before was £2 to £25, now its 0 - £100.

I'm not sure if recouping my previous losses while playing all are anything to do with my highly aggressive backcounting or if its just short term luck. I am spending about 4 to 6 hours backcounting every other day. This may seem like a two fingered gesture to potential heat, but I really don't care until I experience any.

If I observe someone playing a good basic strategy game, I will play behind their box so I can make defensive plays on splits. A new technique I have
added to my arsenal. I normally play during quiet periods when one or two other players are drawing cards while I watch, so I don't have a problem
wonging in when the time comes. Some of them don't like me opening and closing boxes but I don't care.

I'd also like to add part of my motivation for counting is not only making the money, but getting even with the casino's for all the money they have scammed off me from my previous degenerate gambler days.

You're playing a "stronger" (larger advantage) game for sure.

The rules and penetration are fairly weak. Out of curiousity, is it a "no peek" game where doubles/splits are lost on dealer naturals?

2-25 is a 12.5x spread. That would probably be sufficient to have a reasonable expectation of profit. But the rigorous wonging is quite possibly doubling your % advantage. It's also probably meaning you only play like 5% of all hands

$0-$whatever is obviously, an infinite spread.

Is the table max $50 or $100 per spot?

What's your bankroll? 2x$50 might be a little too much to bet, even in high counts.

The only real improvement I can think of is to wong in at a somewhat lower count, like +3, bet not quite as much, like 2X25. Raise to 2x$50 in +4 and higher, and play the lower bet down until the TC is zero, then leave. This minimal level of bet ramping will smooth out some variance, and let you eke out a little bit more expectation by playing more positive hands.

If you want to take ravenge of these particular casinos then your decision of betting only at 4 TC or greater, is correct, as you are avoiding the sharp negative variance is bound to happen when you bet at situations of less than 4 TC. And you dont want to get banned THEN, as they will get even more from you. Thus, perhpaps you should bet only at higher than 6TC. However you never know when you will hit the point of never falling again below a certain point of your current balance and keep rising instead, thus perhaps you are at this point!!!

But if your aim is to make money, you are making serious oppurtunity losses by not betting the lower than 4 TCs.

Dont worry about opening and closing boxes, if they are small bettors, they dont complain much when your bet is high. Try to open and close boxes for 25pounds, and you will see how furious they get.

It depends which table I play on, during the day its only possible to play on whatever tables are open, usually a £2 - £100 per spot (as many spots as you want), table. (thats about $4 - $200)
Sometimes a £5 - £300 table is available. I usually play two boxes with £50 on each. If the count goes astronomical I will tend to bang on alot more.

Bank roll is a replenishable £5000, but I would really rather not get involved in the whole replenishing thing which is why i'm playing so aggressive.
I know my rate of ruin it quite high.

I do get tempted to play the lower counts sometimes, especially when I've been stood there for an hour. So perhaps maybe I will.

Not running a sim or anything, but betting 2x50 with a 5000 bankroll, and scrupulously avoiding negative, neutral, and weakly positive... doesn't sound like a suicidal betting ramp at all. Still a significant chance of ruin, and of course there will be some fearsome variance even without ruin.

I like your militant attitude. I adopted that attitude a while ago and it has been working well for me too. Cash is King! Keep up the smart investing strategies.
