I refuse to laugh at or criticize Shadroch. Mental retardation is no laughing matter, nor can its victims be held fully responsible for their behavior. The three primary causes of what I prefer to call "intellectual disability" are down syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome and Fragile X syndrome. I am not sure the cause of Shadroch's condition, but it really doesn't matter --we should all strive to be understanding, and to be kind to him.

There is nothing sacred anymore anyways and this just another example of it. I have found alot of humor offensive but that is now society's norm. We sometimes find or make things that are offensive to most decent people humorous with little regard to the persons' feelings. You can find humor in the most morbid things if you look low enough. blackchipjim

I didn't get what he said, until I read what you said. I guess my mind is so far away from this kind of humor that it never occurred to me to see humor in such a heart-rending situation.

Point of view is acronym to pov. To say that dark humor is mainstream some of the subjects are pretty grim. Suicide bombers, abortions, retarded people, deaths of prominent people the list of once taboo jokes is now accepted. I don't care for alot of subjects that are made light of by jokes. blackchipjim
