Default I assume he chose not

to reply . That is a shame as he could of given great insight into the gaming world as many old timers are not left to give you the real insight into the group that was there in the real growth period . Correction in its infancy leading up to the explosive growth that was coming . When the boys ran the casinos they knew how to take care of the customers not like today where almost all is computer driven to see where and when you get comps . However the casinos today are hurting from what I have seen in their stock prices and it probably does not look too good for the future . Unfortunately I have not been able to travel to the casinos lately but several of my friends tell me you would have to be a great shot to hit anyone in the casinos in AC on a week day . Even bus tours are down for the senior citizens! Trailways used to run a bus 6 days a week to the casinos in Detroit , Pennsylvania , and New York and now they are down to 2 days a week and struggling to fill them . A friend of mine runs them and he is seriously thinking of just going once a week and making them overnighters IF the casinos will comp the rooms . The last 5 years he made a killing but 2 years ago or so the bottom started to fall out big time ! Just another casualty of the " recession" that we are NOT in it seems !

there was a poster who wrote alot like Frank, but never gave any info, only asked about how card counting worked and the math behind it. he did go to the zz, but again did not offer any new info.
his site is plugged up right now, but he wrote a piece about cardcounting and what his opinions were about it. basically he said it was ok, if the house didnt care. I will dig it up later.
i was interested in the Kennedy assasination, and if there was a link to chicago, like so many have said in the past.

Default I am reasonably sure

that we will never know all the facts about the kennedy murder as I am sure they are classified and buried so deep under folders labelled do not read or you and your family will all be terminated big time - lol. Mysteries are good for the mind as long as you do not obsess over them .

here is the small piece about BJ.

Written by Frank 'The Ace' Rosenthal on May 15, 2007
Question:
Hello,
I am a young gambler living around some of your old haunts in Bridgeport, Chicago. I had a few questions concerning blackjack, particularly single deck. Is it the most adventageous version to play? Will you gain even more of an advantage at a full table by sitting at the last position? How much of an advantage will you have over the house by using the basic plus/minus counting system? And finally, why does AC allow this and not Vegas? Thanks a bunch for your time, and good luck with all of your future endeavors.

John
Answer: Yes, single decks do provide "sharp" Blackjack players with an open advantage, Yep, you're on the right track, regarding the last seat. The basic "plus/minus"count can become a wining edge, if the player is highly disciplined and advanced. BJ Card counters, working in a casino that does not have experienced and knowledgeable personnel are fair-game. "Milking" the casino, rather than trying to knock their lights out is recommended. In other words, do not play too high, in order to avoid a closer look from casino personnel. You are correct; Atlantic City casinos can not "86" a card counter. Las Vegas, and Nevada have been playing scared for decades, due to their greed and incompetence. Not only are they hoping to knock you senseless, they're also trying to send you home "COD."
Good Luck!

Default last of a dieing breed

This right here was a great man he was the last of a certain kind of man that dont exsist anymore, a man who didnt tell on his friends to get out of trouble or save himself. These men back then still had honor. Lefty was a friend of my grandfathers and i knew him pretty good he was really a good guy. My grandfather was also one of these men he passed away in feb of this year. Pretty soon there wont be any of the old mobsters left so we should charish the ones we still got, they may have done alot of bad things but they werent like these criminals today with no honor who are junkies who rob old ladies, some of these guys gave back to there communitys more so then public officials. I was really sad to see this article, Lefty will be remembered forever.

right, we will never know. the twist here was 2 brothers, who pissed off the bunch that brought them to dinner. why did Bobby become obsessed after John's fall?

I do not condone what happened, just from a historical perspective.

after all this didnt go down in the combat zone.
