Default Conversion from HiLo to Zen

Reading advice in the various books I've read about HiLo, I was wondering what kind of conversions I would need to keep track of? Example: Optimal leaving point when wonging was about -1 in HiLo. Since Zen is a level 2 count, I would think that said point is around -1.5 to -2. Any other little things like that I should be aware of?

when were these books published? cus if I understand my own research correctly, the casino rules are getting tougher. I have been told to leave at anything less than 0 or even +1. I guess it depends on the size of your br, what your bet spread is like, and how much you're willing to risk.

I wouldnt base any of these decisions on the level of the count though. I would consider more specific things like Betting Correlation, Playing Efficiency and other ratings. you can find a comparison here:

if I understand correctly, good PE is more advantageous in small deck games (which is what Zen is mostly designed for) and good BC is more advantageous in larger deck games.

wait, wouldnt that defeat the purpose of learning Zen?

If you learn a more advanced count, it is so you can gain even more of an edge. If you play at TC lower than you did with hi-lo then you are just killing your edge just so you can play a few more hands... I dont see the purpose in that.

It was in Shlesinger's BJA. It had graphs for I think most of the different deck amounts and general rules. General consensus was early in the deck had an optimal leaving point at like -0.5 while going further in the deck allowed lower leaving points.
