Default Opinions on switiching from UAPC

Hey there, I was wondering if I could get a little friendly advice. I have been learning the Uston APC counting method for a while and have become relatively proficient at it. However, I recently began doing research and learned about the general dismissal of the system (even by Uston himself) as too complex to be practically used. Should I switch to a slightly simpler method, or stick with the UAPC, since I am already used to it?

I understand that this is a subejctive issue, but have any of you switched systems, and how difficult is it to regain speed and ease of counting with a new one?

if you have "become relatively proficient at it", why are you concerned about opinions about it being too complex to be practically used?

if you really haven't used a counting system in actual real play for actual real money in a actual real casino, then I would suggest abandoning UAPC, forgetting all about it, and pick up HiLo or KO or even KISSIII and make the money. These systems are simple, easy so you make less mistakes, and perfectly capable of winning over 95% of the money UAPC will make.

All current simulations show that higher level counting systems do not add much to the your edge (0.07% at the most) for shoe games, when compared to level one system such as hi-lo. My advice is to switch to hi-lo as soon as possible

If you can use it, and enjoy using it, why switch?

What kind of games are you playing? It makes a difference.

http://www.qfit.com/card-counting.htm

that site is a big help imo. it gives u every kind of rating you'll need and a description for each of the counts listed. compare UAPC with other systems and go from there
