Default We're the Government and You're Not

I had to post this especially before the elections. It's the best political satire I've seen in a long time.

I assume you do not mean to demean the government by calling attention to this film. I mean, the government does have a sense of humor, but this could be taken the wrong way, if you know what I mean. It might be better if you deleted this thread entirely, not because you don't have the right to do it, but because its the patriotic thing to do. You are a patriot, I can tell you are. So you know how senstivie these things can be especially during an election year. Thanks for considering my comments, and I will forestall any action to report your activities to higher authorities, pending your compliance with your patriotic duty over the next two or three days. No one like you should be needlessly persecuted for just trying to have a good time. In a parallel universe, your sense of humor might be better appreciated, but things being the way they are, I'm sure you will adopt a more serious attitude toward the way your country is displayed, especially in media that can be viewed around the world. It is not easy to be a good American. but I know that you will do what is best for you and your family who did nothing to deserve the things that could happen to them if your lighthearted activities were to be misconstrued by some less understanding and compassionate officials than myself. Yours truly, a fellow American Patriot and member of Americans for Freedom from the Oppression of Ideas. Our motto: "Just think yes." Have a nice day.

That's a good one but I think you need to put in something about how free speech against the government isn't really free as it supports terrorists. And a wave flag for God's sake.

Yes, those are very important ideas. We believe that we must be careful about everything we say, because the enemies of America might take advantage of our candidness to spread misinformation about our beloved country. Therefore, I agree, it is best to never say anything that might demean our great country. Therefore, we should ask Congress to suspend free speech until such time that the government tells is it is safe to once again say what we believe. Until then, keep your lips sealed, and never, never, never say anything against the country or its leaders. It is our patriotic duty before our God and our fellow American citizens. Wave the flag proudly, and never be afraid to display love for your country by wearing flag pins, displaying flag stickers on your car, and wearing red, white and blue ties to work. God bless America! And God bless everybody, one and all!

Interesting and entertaining. Pretty standard LP hyperbole, so I was surprised to see females in it.

I've been to that square in Birmingham (with the "troublemakers" on the benches.) Late on a Friday night in summertime, and it's a scary place.

If you don't straighten up, we'll snatch you.

PS--Aslan's body was returned to him shortly after this message.
