I've Noticed (sssshhh.... a conspiracy?)
Here and a couple of other boards I read are suddenly being bombardaded with anti-Obama slander. People are throwing everything they can out there hoping some of this stuff might stick.
Is this the early ramp up of the Republican Smear machine? Are they saving the good stuff for tuesday or will they be too then busy Disenfranchising likely obama voters especially among people of color and elderly? How many old ladies can they leave stranded in "broken down" vans that were supposed to get them to the polls from assisted living places. How long can they make the lines in democratic districts with "broken" voting machines and procedures before someone gets hurt?
I'd say there's a a conspiracy here, but that's Zen's department.

Slander is a strong word
name one slanderous thing I have said? If you don't think I have said anything slanderous then that is fine.
Politics is sport with an outcome that actually matters
An issue with government getting larger and larger and having more of an effect on our lives is don't be surprised if politics become more and more heated. Wasn't the American revolution basically about taxes?
Government is now seizing property thanks to the Supreme Court. The US is potentially on the verge of major transfers of wealth and making decisions on our health care? These are issues to big for the government to handle or to be trusted with!

Yeah it's a conspiracy. I work for the Republican Party, they pay me to post negative things about Obama on blackjack sites. I get $5 every time I "accidentally" refer to him as Osama, and $10 every time I use his middle name Hussein. They even provided me with a BJ bankroll and education so I can pass myself off as a real AP.
And on Tuesday I'm going to be part of the disenfranchisement team. That's right, I'm going to be driving that van, and instead of driving the old ladies to the polls I'm taking them to Chippendale's and giving them a bunch of dollar bills.
And I'm going to trash a voting machine in my Democrat district. That's right. I'm coating the back of my ballot form with 3M 2216 epoxy and when it's fed into the reader, guarantee that will be the last ballot it ever reads. And we've already programmed the machines to disenfranchise black people. That's right. All that chemical detection equipment the Department of Homeland Security uses, you didn't think it was really for detecting explosives at airports, did you? No way. The slightest trace of Afro-Sheen, chicken grease or watermelon juice on the ballot, and off it goes. Vaporized! Saving the unborn babies and increasing carbon emissions in one efficient operation.

You've provided a good example of why some mental health professionals are beginning to correlate far-left politics with mental illness. You probably really believe there are Republicans out there stranding old ladies in vans so they can't vote. And you probably read what I just wrote and are contemplating how much of it I could actually pull off. I think it's caused by two things. The first is that those of the Left are very good at isolating themselves in an ideological cocoon. In many parts of the country it is possible to spend nearly your entire life never being exposed to any people, books, movies, etc. that do not repeat and represent leftist values. The second problem is the politics of demonization your side of the political spectrum specializes in. It is not sufficient to say that a Republican has something other than the best idea; you have to accuse him of criminal conspiracy and personal evil on every level. You hear this so often from your pundits you start to believe it. Sick, sick, sick.

I blast Obama every chance I get. in public, on this forum, wherever.
but i also borrow the zz post about anthrax or depleted uranium to describe the choice between mccain and obama. http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bb/showthread.php?t=12019
thats the real issue. neither candidate is up to the next 4 years. at least mccain has some kind of experience, and some kind of plan.

Stop it. It's true!! I have three old ladies shackled in my basement until after the election. If everyone did just a little bit, it doesn't have to be three old ladies, it can be one college student that you get drunk on election day, or one handicapped democrat whose wheel chair you break--if everyone did just a little bit, the GOP can win this election. Act now. It's for a good cause. God bless you! God bless America! And to paraphrase the words of a famous American preacher, "Not God bless the Democrats, God d*mn the Democrats. It's in the Bible!" Have a nice day!
