Abortion and National Health Care, An Example!
Let's link the abortion issue and national health care.
Have every fertile age woman take birth control from a government clinic. If you want to be in the government health care system you must take birth control unless you are trying to conceive. Hence fewer abortions. Providing birth control may also have a cost benefit vs the cost of abortions.
No coercion, it's voluntary.
Sound crazy?
In Virgina the government does not pay for more then 3 children. I imagine but don't know that the government provides free abortions. So this is a pro abortion policy. Once a woman has 3 children and is pregnant then there is a double incentive for a woman to have an abortion. Probably the government provides free birth control.
Also in Virginia if you want welfare you must work or work in a volunteer organization. If you don't work then no assistance.
So government now uses coercion/incentives in the abortion, welfare and health care realms.
