Campaign promises
It didn't take long for the first one to fall. Obama said he would end "nasty partisan politics" and who's his first appointment? None other than the most partisan and nasty person available (Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel).

I noticed that. I also hear his FCC pick is very pro-fairness doctrine, which means kiss talk radio goodbye in June of 2009. If anyone believed his acceptance speech that he would be a president for all Americans, including the ones who didn't vote for him... what he meant was... Who's your daddy? I'M YOUR DADDY.
I was momentarily optimistic, still hopeful, but expecting more of the partisan same-ol same-ol.
So much for "Change."

I do not care for the guy, I have him pegged as a deceitful liar.
If O doesn't do as promised the People can throw him out in 4 years.
I never voted for him, thought he would not be as advertised...just another snake.
Fairness doctrine...take that to the Supreme Court, I will fight and die for Free speech.
What can you do.....

His pick as Chief of Staff was made to keep the Left Wing of the Democratic Party in check. Its a shame you people take every thing you hear from right wing radio hosts as gospel. Perhaps if he had appointed a Republican, you'd feel better.
Things Rush won't tell you about Mr Emanuel.
1) The Josh Lyman character on The West Wing was modeled on him. Does anyone recall the Lyman character as some kind of Karl Rove like creature?
2) Mr Emanuel volunteered in the Israeli Defense Force. Not exactly the sort of person a secret Muslim, PLO supporting President would appoint, eh?
His selection for the FCC was for the transition team, he has not selected the next Commisioneer.

Do any of you actually know what the Fairness Doctrine actually consists of?
Anyone remember Barry Farber? Bob Grant? Somehow they managed to thrive under the fairness doctrine. Perhaps you should take two minutes and read up on it rather than listen to the self-serving rants of talk show host.

He is a lock for a 2 term president. The election was a slam dunk. We have seen enough of the Republican party for the last 8 years to last a lifetime. Maybe they can pull Sarah Pahlin out again.

Consider she and the GOP's fear-inciting commercials blew it for McCain, probably
