Due largely in part by the Kentucky governor's attempt to seize the domain names of online casinos and all the flak surrounding that issue, the are some serious rumors that Microgaming is pulling out of the USA on December 1st. Most Microgaming casinos have stopped registering new USA players on November 10th. The online gambling world is changing very fast in a matter of weeks. :(

Just another feather in the cap

It totally blows me away that microgaming will in fact pull out , but if the do I would definitely understand it, the U.S unfortunately has come down so bad on online casinos where you would think especially now in the current economy they would try to take in to consideration the tax advantages they could have by allowing online gambling .

But then again the U.S government has always tried to find away to trow a wrench in to things that could make them money the honest way.

The problem is there is no way the US or any state government can make money off offshore online gaming, and the gaming lobby and Indian lobby will never permit US online gaming. So this is something that will probably never change.

If you are from Mexico I'm sure you are familiar with the government having a different attitude about something they profit from and something they don't. They will protect international narcotraficantes but if you get caught dealing drugs on the street you're in serious trouble. Likewise state gaming boards will usually take the side of the casino over the player, meanwhile they pretend to be concerned with protecting the public from crooked gaming with online casino bans.

In any case, that Microgaming ban for US players is now firmly in place. :-( Sad, I think. They had some of the nicest software for online play. (Personal opinion).
