I usually go to jamiaca once a year but have not been in almost 2 years now. However when i was there last it was 6 decks s17, das, da2 and if i remember the dealers were quite slow and pen was excellent.
Down there anything can be done for $$$$, just associate good pen with tipping them. Ask them to cut it deeper so you can play longer and just tip them, saying something like keep it like that.Every time a shuffle comes up tip them and youll get what you want. Down there 5 or 10 bucks is alot to them.

I can tell you to stay at the sunset jamaica inn. It is the best resort down there and it has the best access to the city, the biggest beach of all the resorts in ocho rios, and so much to do. You will thank me if you stay there.

Thanks for the info... In Ocho Rios as I write. If it keeps raining I'll probably hit Treasure Hunt sooner...

Default Safety?

I've heard mixed reports about safety down there, particularly if one is carrying cash, of course. I'd imagine if one takes a (known) cab to and from the casino to your hotel, it's probably ok, but I'd want to know more about the sketchiness of the area. Rumors abound!

Hey Takin....

Where do they have live BJ Tables in Ocho Rios?

The Treasure hunt told me this:
"Our slot machines accept only US$
we do offer sicbo and Sega automatic black jack tables. Live games are not accepted in Jamaica currently."

The locals here told me the other 2 in town are slot machines only.

Let me know, I'm here till Friday and the CVBJ is not doing the trick!

bjcount, W.T.F. There are no longer any real BJ games in Ocho Rios?

Online I found three (3) casinos at Ocho Rios; but other than one mention of
"electronic blackjack" , (an unbeatable sucker game), I saw no references to actual "21"
