Default input on 09 "BJ BASH"

Since the First "BASH" has been such a great success I would appreciate input on a summer 09 event. I think it is very important to have available playable games of shoes of no more than 6 decks and DD. Tables should be adequate in number keeping in mind that there is always more shoe than DD games. Table mins should be such that red chip players can feel comfortable playing. It is nice to tie the "BASH" to other casino events, if possible, to get discounted rooms and other side attractions. Those who attended the 08 "Bash" will know what I am talking about. I also think that being summer time there is a benefit to having side attractions off site for all to enjoy, as I think this should be an event that even the wife's of attendees can enjoy and give you even more of a memorable event. Safety and comfort is a high priority as this should also be a relaxing, vacation type of event.
Cover for the last "Bash", I thought, was rather unique and if not available this time we could create our own. I have a spot or 2 in mind that I feel would be great in the summer, but as I said all input is valued.

This is in essence a Midwest event as LV already has 3 that I know of. I think the AP's that attended the first Bash will attest to the quality of games not taking much of a back seat to LV.

To those who are members of the "Midwest Masters Of Advantage" your input is greatly needed, please PM me with your thoughts.

I have almost no experience playing BJ in the Midwest.
I had a good experience [a decade ago] in Illinois.

I have been operating under the premise that the midwest lacks good games.

I just checked the current edition of C.B.J.N. and nothing jumped off the page.

Can someone please post a brief summary of what A.P. opportunities are found in the Midwest.

If you want a professional Event Planner to approach a hotel/resort to see about sleeping room rates at a group discount...hell I'd do it for free (give up my commission) to drive the rate down. "Hi, I'm booking my family reunion...need XX rooms for a couple of nights. Any specials you can help us with?" You'd be surpized what they will do for one of their own when we have to do our own family reunion.

lol, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. and perhaps the old saw "life is what you make it" has some truth in it.

something to think about, just how bad is bad, maybe not so bad as theory and conventional wisdom would lead us to believe:

Flash,

An experienced player such as yourself knows better than to request others to post AP opportunities on a public page, and that includes pay sites like GC

I have my pilots license as well as several other ratings, so find the plane, finance the expedition and you have a pilot!

And Ramona's got an airport that can land most private craft.
