Interesting Night
Interesting night at our local casino for me. Low stakes ($5) BS player.
Only seat available at the anchor. Started out bad. Wasn't thinking on my first hand and waved off an A6 against a 10. (I do not know where my head was). Never drew a comment from the table.
Dropped about $50 (10 units) pretty quickly, and then leveled out.
Had a friendly (fun, not irritating) drunk end up at my right. He was playing okay, but he ended up about $10 short of being able to split A's against a 6. I offered to take part in the bet which he accepted and he won both hands. Gave me $25.
Happened again (this time DD 9-2 against a 6), same result, another $25.
He had to leave - one last bet for him, won a pretty good hand, and started throwing chips (reds) around (a few to me, a few to the dealer, a few to some of the other players). By the time he left, I was up $5, even though I'd lost a number of additional hands.
Again, playing anchor, hit a A7 against a 10. Got berated by just about every player at the table ("You realize you had 18"); the guy at 1st base got up and left as a result. (He was playing very poorly with $75 bets). I was suppose to take one for the "team".
Yah, I know, small stakes, but as a BS player playing for the entertainment value I find in BJ, it doesn't make sense to play anything more than table minimum.
