You know what I've never understood since I was a kid? Why every car can go over 70 mph when the national speed limit is 70 mph. Is that just in case a plane is crash landing behind you and you need to go faster to outrun it?
I'd like to see the goverment justify why they allow cars on the road that can go 200mph, when they crack down on emissions and headrests.

How true I could never figure that out either . Especially today when the world is conserving gas not burning it up down the highway like we used to do in the 60's when speed limits were 70 and up or no speed limits in some states . That was the time of the 427 corvette, 389 GTO, Hemi "Cuda", the shelby Cobra,olds 442,pontiac455,Malibu 396 short block, and the 409 Impala amongst a slew of others . The auto industry is going to have a dramatically different look to it in say 3 years . Nothing like what we knew of !!!!
