Default Merry Christmas Everyone

Hi, I just wanted to wish everyone here on the BlackjackInfo boards a very Merry Christmas! It might be a day or so early, but I'm probably going to be pretty busy on Christmas Day itself - so thought I'd take the opportunity to pass on my wishes whilst I remembered!

I'd say its been a pretty interesting year for many of us. For some of us it's probably been good, and we've been treated to some incredible bargains at department stores, and in Las Vegas holiday deals! For others, life has probably been a struggle, trying to keep up with mortgage / rent payments, power bills, phone bills, whilst maintaining some degree of sanity with the real world...

Whatever type of year you've personally had - don't panic! A new year will soon begin. A new year with opportunities to grow, to flourish, and to become who / what / where you want to be. And before then, we have the joy of Christmas time. Yes, it's that time when western nations (and some others) celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, through the coming together of families, the exchange of presents, and the eating of feasts (for those who can afford them).

I'm a big fan of charities, especially at Christmas time. Have you had a winning year? Consider donating some of those winnings to your favourite charity. Have you got spare food after the Christmas Day meals? Consider the age-old Boxing Day tradition and box up food to take to your nearest homeless shelter. If you've had a bad year, then consider contacting a charity for assistance... don't try to cope alone!

However you spend your Christmas season, may it be a time filled with love, with joy, with peace, and with friends and family. Have a great Christmas everyone!

David

I'm still not going to visit your stupid website, David.

Bah humbug to you, sir.

Default Nothing changes huh?

Ah, the perils of cut and paste. My apologies. In any case, the wishes are genuine! I really and sincerely do wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Bah humbug? So be it. But I still wish you the compliments of the season. Perhaps you might one day understand the real reason for Christmas, and change your heart and attitude towards others.... in any case, I'm not judging. And for the record, the reason for Christmas is not to visit my "stupid site"! I'm not bothered whether you visit or not, in the same way that I'm not bothered whether Obama or McCain is in the Whitehouse. :-)

Please do have a peaceful and joyful festive season - despite the Grinch attempting to steal my good wishes and make them bad. Bah humbug indeed! Isn't that a Scrooge McDuck famous saying? Just thinking...

Question

David,

So why do you think all of your UK casino memberships were pulled in one foul swoop?

It's interesting that on this site, several posters have stated they've been banned from wherever, but nobody wants to talk about the reason, or speculate, as to why?

I put a flag up some weeks ago, and despite it being relatively early on in the evening thought it prudent to get up and walk away - rather than continuing to play.

Hi Brutus, thanks for the Christmas wishes. Who was looking for me? Hmmm. Could be anyone. Well, if they're looking, I'm here.

Newb99 - why did my memberships go? I was never given an official reason. I asked several of the casinos why the memberships were pulled (via letter), and received the standard "under rules of membership we can cancel or revoke a membership at any time, for any reason - and we don't have to tell you why" reply. I expect that it's because they flagged me as a "counter" and were protecting their investment. I can understand that (if it is the case). I guess I'll never get to know - I can't do much if they won't tell me.

Or maybe they just didn't like me... :-(

In any case, I no longer live in the UK, so they can ban me all they like!

Thanks for the reply. After however many years of the welcome mats being out though, curious that you were suddenly flagged up as a counter? Something must have happened to make the sirens go off.

Anyway, all the best.
