Default California Rules

I was just looking at the Wizard of Odds site. He has listed some very very good games in San Diego area. The casinos has paid him to post the HE on his site.

What is going on here, I believe the Wiz but why are they offering such good games?

Please provide direct link to these suspicious games.
It sounds like a counter trap.

The Barona is offering a virtual push game.

Does California charge a commission, what am I missing here?

That game is usually only available on one table which has all seats filled and at least one PB stationed next to the dealer at all times. I'm told that Rubin's boys keep a pretty sharp eye out as well. It's mostly just a marketing gimic.

You will not get away with a 4-1 spread for long at the Barona game and the table will be so crowded that you will get few hands. It is mainly a promotion but actually it is an excellent game for a basic strategy player who can afford a $100 minimum.

In San Diego, think Barona = old Ceasar's Palace, early 1980's -- as in wants to be the biggest $$$$$ game in town.

Harrah's is probably 2nd in $$$$ tables.

Sycuan is my 3rd guess (golf driving up the table value).

Santa Ysabel is a Fitzgerald's. But with much nicer decor and dealers.

Valley View, hmmm, is Buffett King with seafood daily, and would rank with the Stations today in Vegas.

Pala is JW Marriott.

Oceans Eleven, haven't been there, so have to pass on the comparison.

Viejas, only been shopping...same pass.

Golden Acorn, prices out higher than SY but location is like Stratosphere....gotta pass it to get anywhere.

Pauma, still a tent -- soon to be a resort, and haven't been there. Don't know their pricing.

But all in all, with CA following Vegas with 6:5 for single deck for 90% of the games dealt...hit S17 for most houses, I just play what I can afford and avoid the CSMs as much as possible.
