Default Thunder's grind update

I've now used my version of Oscar's grind for Blackjack on 4 different trips to the casino (probably the equivalent of I'd say 30 hours of play) and each time have met my profit objective. (I bring to the table 80X my initial bet and leave when I make 40X or more of my initial bet) Yes I've gotten stopped (-40X initial bet) out on average once or twice each trip before meeting my goal but it's been a fun ride thus far. Typically (including getting stopped out), I've averaged about 8-9X my initial bet/hr. Far far better than card counting although I know you're all going to say I'm due for one or two really bad shoes that will wipe me out. To avoid this, sometimes I leave if I've just finished a sequence and the count gets pretty bad.

Sounds like your doing some "Voodoo Wonging" with Oscar. Is this a new type of progression? I thought you had to stick with the program thru thick and thin. Interesting twist though how you bailed when it stopped working.

hahahaha. Well I was told by some other people in the original oscar's grind thread that I shouldn't call it Oscar's grind and instead I should call it something else, hence Thunder's grind. I do stick with the program thick and skin but if you're going to take a break and aren't in the middle of a sequence, why not wong out when the count gets bad. It can only help improve your odds. I mean there isn't really any way for me to play every single hand and what not since the laws of nature do call from time to time. I do recommend allowing yourself a couple of hours to play though, since if you do get stopped out, it's going to take a few hours to recoup the losses.
