Default Counting and Betting basic stategies.

Hey all!

Loving the site.. Joined up not so long ago.

I havent been counting for a real long time, but i have been practising counting on the Virite program, and on the coffee table at home.
I can count down a deck in around 50 seconds (Still to slow, I know)

I need to get a bit quicker before i hit the casinos i know, and most of you would agree stongly with that yeah?

So my aim is to keep practising, even if it takes another 6 months, as I feel good things come to those who wait.
And yeah, get quicker before I do hit casinos, however I am getting better and it is starting to become second nature.

My question is, because now i plan on including my betting spread strategies into my counting, is there a simple beginners betting/spread strategy that works. My casinos have 8 deck shoe.. Draw to 16 stand on 17..

Like if my minimum bet was $25, on a count of +1, what spread would i apply as it rises.. +2, +4, without seeming to obvious.

Someone once told me to times the minimum bet but the true + count. But to me this seems to easy to be true..

Thanks guys,

Really loving Blackjack, been playing home games for years, shuffle tracking etc, but counting is sort of new to me. Plan on taking this as seriously as possible, thats why I havent rushed off just yet.

Howie.

Hi and welcome!!!

Can you list the rules, to your game.

Also, How healthy is your Bankroll?

We should first determine, whether or not, you should be playing at the Green level. Then depending on what your BR, looks like, when can determine, what your optimal betting strategy(ramp) should be, for your best chance of success, vs Risk of Ruin.

Yea, and why learn counting if you shuffle track? The advantage is much greater.

Basic shuffle tracking in home games.. Nothing special..

It not possible at my casino, they auto shuffle and cant be seen. Then they bring a new shoe..

Hehe sorry I should have cleared that up at the start, I wouldnt be able to shuffle track 8 deck shoe anyway, but can do the rough basics in 1 deck at home games. But once again, im no expert by any means.

Thats all I meant, but yeah i worded it a bit wrong.

As for my local casino rules are as follows, but may have changed as I havent been in a while. Theres a rumour going around that all table have CSM's, but I dont think its true. I do know there are some, but not all.

Limits are $10, $15, $25, $30, $50 amd $100 on main floor.

Rules are as follows:

8 Decks, dealt from shoe
Double on 9, 10 or 11.
Dealer stands on soft 17 (S17)
Split to 3 hands
Aces split to 2 hands
One card only on split aces
Double after split (DAS)
Double for less allowed
Blackjack pays 3:2
Insurance pays 2:1
Dealer blackjack takes Original and Busted Bets Only (OBBO)
First card from shoe burnt

Im looking around $1000 bankroll to begin with.

Howie.

WOW!

Thanks Jack,

Yeah, the $10 limit tables are all CSM's ( i think )

So id probably be playing $25.. although i will practise with this while im still learning, as its easier to count in denomintions of 10..

Thanks mate

Howie.

Also, is there a counting system that starts at 10, then goes 9,8,7 and so on for minus.. and then 11,12,13 and so on for plus..

Would be a lot simpler counting up and back from ten, rather that minus and zero all the time.. For me anyway..

If there is, whats it called?

Howie.
