ACES train

#1
I've tried searching for it but couldn't find another thread with the same topic. So, the express train from NYC to AC will finally start running starting February 5th. Thoughts, anyone?

Biggest waste of money. Costs a lot more than taking the bus from NYC and yet it takes the same amount of time to get there assuming it's not during rush hour.

Most of the seats on the train are going to be bought up by the casinos as travel comps so if you can get it the cost won't be an issue, and I'd much rather spend my travel time on a train than on the filthy bus with an illegal alien sitting on my lap. Those buses make the Trump Plaza feel clean by comparison.

AM you really make me laugh! For the most part, I have most of the same thoughts ;) We differ in one area.
I really like my car, second to it is a plane. Sometimes we take the train to the city and even the NJTransit is a horrible experience.
I haven't been to any Trumps properties but based on that comment, you gave me all the information I need to know I don't want to go..

anyone paying $50 each way ($100 total, $150 if you want first class) should just consider spending the extra $150 and going to vegas instead...

A long way to go for a day trip or overnighter...

When you look at your overall EV, you need to consider travel time, too (unless you don't value your time.) Travel to/from airport, sitting around the airport for an hour+, 4-5 hour flight, etc. all add up. From the east coast, I wouldn't go to LV unless I was planning to stay at least 5 days.

That's true, and all for the privilege of playing mediocre games.

Probably the best travel bargain for blackjack is Biloxi/Gulfport. Once you're there getting around is easy, and even if you have to fly into New Orleans it's still only a 90 min. drive. And you've got plenty of decent DD games to make it worthwhile.
