BJ Minimums in Vegas right now

I've read that Vegas is getting hit hard in this recession we're in. I haven't talked to anyone that's been in a few weeks though. I'm thinking about going up there in a few weeks, does anyone know if the table minimums are lower since things are slow up there? Would I be able to red chip on the strip at all?

thx

You could have red-chipped even when Vegas was booming. Luxor, Tropicana, Monte Carlo, and Treasure Island all offered $5 blackjack under certain circumstances, and $10 was pretty standard everywhere else except on special occasions. $15 was the highest minimum minimum I've seen.

Minimums are in fact a little lower

Many places lower minimums when they are slow and now they seem to be slow for often than before.
One thing I never saw before but have seen on my last 3 visits to Vegas was $5 tables at the MGM weekday mornings and early afternoon. I was not there at night but would imagine if they got busier they raised the min.

Now give them a big fight weekend or the upcoming Super Bowl and you can forget low minimums.

How much are the table mins for the 2 deck/No surrender/DAS/No RSA games at the Bellagio and Wynn? According to Wizard of Odds their house edge is 0.27%, pretty good for Vegas.

During my last visit Wynn was at $100 and Bellagio was at $50
Time of day might change things.
Mirage though had the same game for $25.

ihate17 is correct.

one thing to mention. DD at the Mirage is face up along with at the Bellagio.

DD at the Wynn is face down.

Are the DD games in Vegas generally face up or down, as a rule? I always thought face down was standard, but if there are a lot of face up games, even better - I have only played shoes, so that would make the adjustment to DD a lot easier.

Two weeks ago I found Bellagio DD at $25 in the morning. Never thought I'd see it. They had several players at that table too, while the dealers at the usual $100 DD tables were standing around looking bored.

Shoe or CSM?
And what were the rules? (ie. was it H or S 17, etc.). If I could get $15 S17 DAS DA2 RSA LS at the Encore or Wynn I'd be in heaven (I know I can get that at Mandalay Bay, but I have a certain love for the Wynn properties).

$15 S17 DAS DA2 RSA LS is at mandalay bay?

i'm gonna be visiting there this weekend and this looks like a pretty good game to me.

just to clarify, wong in at +2 (+3 if i wanna be safe), and leave when goes -?

also, what do casinos thinks about me watching a game, and dropping cash on other peoples bets?

i did this at morongo on a 4d shoe game when the count when +5 and i won every hand for about 2 decks

BAHAHAHAHAHA :laugh::cow:

i played palm springs many many times never having a desire to step inside that place, based on CBJN. well one day my keen intuition failed me and I went for a look-see. Man that place sucks. 8d heaven. along with 300 families and their kids running around everywhere. it was so amazingly unclassy i thought i was on freemont street, oh, except they don't allow strollers or kids in them inside freemont street casinos!
