As of May of last year: during the day (except for 6:5 single deck), they had hand-shuffled 6D $25 min (at night, when more pits open, they have some $15), pen dealer-dependent (most around 1-1/2 decks), S17, no surrender, DAS, double any pair, one card each on split aces, no restrictions on spreading or mid-round entry. You must play $50 avg. per hand to get rated.

Your other option in New Providence is Crystal Palace Casino in Cable Beach, was there last month. The regular gaming area has single deck 6:5 and 8D H17. The hi-limit pit had several tables ranging from $25-100 minimum, 6D, S17, DOA, DAS, nRSA, NS, no MSE. You actually get a voucher for cash back based on your theo which you redeem at the cage. Penetration was slightly better than at Atlantis during that week, and overall the tables were less crowded.

Could you walk us through its unfoldment, if you would, including any clues of imminent pc action you may have missed, and remembered later, in hindsight? Was it a weekend and crowded? I concluded that the ATLANTIS is extremely paranoid because:

It was mid-week when Atlantis hosted a Pro-Am Golf Tournament.

The casino was full to capacity, and the money being wagered was enormous, with whales everywhere and NO separate High Stakes Room.

There were hoards of movie stars and their professional athlete golfing partners. A gorgeous (famous) movie star and I had a conflict when she pushed my bet aside from my second spot so that she could get down some chips. It had to be explained to her by the Pit Boss why that was inappropriate. She was too narcissistic to accept that graciously but her even more famous movie star partner understood and walked her away. This extra attention may have spurred management to back me off the next day.

I watched Michael Jordan playing each night at a private table with multi-thousand dollar bets on every spot of every hand. He played reasonable basic strategy. His losses were titanic and the casino closed each night ONLY when Michael decided to quit.

I thought that with huge money being wagered - (It was like Caesars Palace or the M.G.M. Grand on the night of a major heavyweight boxing title match) I would be "playing in the shadow" of those betting multiple thousands per hand. I was wrong. This is why I have concluded that the Atlantis is a totally paranoid venue.

Elsewhere I had posted re: other reasons to avoid The Atlantis, including their refusal to cut me a check even though my total buy-in was done via travelers checks, absurdly slow dealers poor service, poor comps, and the existence of many HIDDEN fees charged, such as an electricity surcharge, housekeeping fees, high tourist taxes, etc. Bring your own lightbulbs because your hotel room will only have 15 watt bulbs !
