Hello all,

Just joined the boards. A few days away from my 21st birthday. When i was real little i would always count cards on a single deck and then predict which ones would come up at the end...tally them, and just do tons of probability with cards.

I've built up some cash and plan on hitting some casinos soon with some friends. I've been researching and practicing for a few weeks I figured maybe a good 5 months of practice would be enough to fine-tune my game. Just wondering what advice you guys had for brand new gamblers! I'm fairly confident in my ability to count...so the difficult strategies dont really bother me....i just need to practice alot. Thanks guys!

If you're going to count in the casino and you've never done it before and would like to just as a test of your abilities, I'd suggest heavy Wonging. Wait for a count to get fairly good, not just above the key count, then put a bet down, see how it goes.

Then when you're gambling with your friends, just min bet, play basic strat and have a good time.

Differentiate between gambling and AP.
