KO preferred strategy question

#1
Have rookie system down quite easily and want to begin utilizing preferred strategy matrix.
I have a question in regards to 6 and 8 deck shoe plays as described in the KO BJ book on page 85. When (if at all) do you change strategy with 6 and 8 deck shoes when I am dealt H13 H12 v. dealer 2,3,4,5,6? The authors state to OMIT these "category C" plays. Do they mean that when playing 6 and 8 deck shoes that essentially the preferred method only includes making the insurance play and only the 12 plays of "category A and B" plays?
Any claification would be appreciated.
Thanks..stig

Yup, you’ve got it.

I don’t have the book, so I’m not sure about the categories. But there are 5 indices that are for use with 1 or 2 decks only, and they are the ones you mentioned.

thanks guys for the speedy response. I hope to get these down to enhance my game.
Canceler- I see that you too are from MN and have many posts. I am assumming you have much more experience than I, so I ask you this, I ask the question as I play mostly in Iowa (diamond jo's, the isle) and MN (TI, mystic, grand casino) and wonder, where do you consider the better places to play, for a novice? Ie best games, environment, heat etc....
If you dont mind answering...
thnx....stig.

Avoid 8 deck shoes like the Bubonic plague.

the category "C" items just don't add any advantage using KO as there are just too many darn cards in the shoe and unbalanced counts don't do everything great (neither do balanced)!

I think there are real index numbers in the back for those plays for 6D...

with IRCs of -20 for 6D those 5 plays all happen at or around RC = -24 or lower.

in those instances it is FAR MORE PROFITABLE to go take a leeeeeek or a :cool2:

Sorry, I have no current information on anything. The last time I played BJ was in November. Lately I've been concentrating on trying to learn Texas Hold'em.
