KO Wong Out Question

Greetings,

With a 6D adjusted IRC of 10 using KO Full, the book tells you to wong out at a RC of 8 after 1 deck, at RC 13 after 2 decks, and at RC 18 after 3 decks.

I recently added TC +2 equivalents to my game in place of a key count and added TC -1.2 equivalents for wong out points per KO-Rob's spreadsheet http://www.blackjackinfo.com/bb/attachment.php?attachmentid=116&d=1180298696

Interestingly, his wong out points on the first three decks are the same as in KO, but he also added wong out points at 23 with 2 decks remaining and at 28 with 1 deck remaining.

Hence, my question involves the inconsistencies created by merging the two systems--namely, whether to wong out "after" decks have been played or with decks "remaining".

What do you recommend? Also, when using the decks remaining method vs decks played, I suppose you wong out the instant that number is hit regardless of where you are in the shoe?

Thanks very much for everyone's help.

Ideally in a perfect world you would want to wong out of all negative counts, but that's not always realistic. I also don't believe in strict rules for wonging out as there are too many factors you will have to consider. You must consider some of the following like the pen, where you are currently in the deck, how many players are at the table, how busy is the casino, are you wonging or doing play all, the heat in that casino. So the worse the opportunities in the casino the longer you will have to stick it out. Early in a shoe you should probably stick with a -1.2 count but run later in the shoe. All this will come with experience and after a while it will just be second nature to you. But at the start just use the guidelines in the KO book and over time you will get a feel for it and be able to significantly improve on them.
