Team Card Counting in Montreal Casino

#1
Hello everyone.

I would just want to know whether a team of 2 or 3 counters + 1 big player would work in Montreal Casino, and could actually be profitable.

I have just gotten into card counting, and I have never been to the Montreal Casino, so if anyone could post the actual blackjack table rules and the bet ranges (there are many different answers on these forums so I don't know what to think) it would be appreciated.

Advice on the correct basic strategy to use (according to the table rules which I don't know yet), correct counting system, what to bet according to the true count, when to Wong in/out, suggested bankroll, or simply any comment/suggestion/warning would really help!

Thanks a lot!

Wow slow down Obrazy. You are new to counting and already you want to start a team. Read through the FAQ's section, buy a few starter books and actually go to the Montreal casino and check it out for yourself to find out the conditions which are really crappy by the way!

I merely want to know if that would be possible :)
It wasn't in my plans to put it to use soon; but if I was to spend many hours to get a few people with good potential and practice over 2 hours a day for over half a year in that purpose, would it be a complete waste of time, or could we actually achieve something in the end? Of course we'd be willing to get the required knowledge and training. Now I know this is real life, not a movie, no rush and dreams of easy millions intended :p

Has anyone ever done it in Montreal?

Yes its been done in Montreal and you can make money at it. The problem is with a horrible 8D H17 game and lousy pen it probably isn't worth it. As for it being a complete waste of time would have to be decided by you. What are you trying to get out of it? Money how much, the experience of doing it, the comradery of bonding with your friends? As for how much money you can make will depend on your bankroll and the table max which I believe is only $500.

Yes and No

Yes decent money can be made up there. No a BP team probably isn't going to work for you. It will probably take a year or two before you are ready to manage a team. By that time you will know better ways to get the money.

All right, seems like a lot of practice regarding card counting is required first before trying to team up. Although it's not *really* a team, it's just having someone other than the big player keep the count to avoid getting caught.

As for my goals, there is of course the thrill of doing it, beating the system and doing it with friends. My true money objective would be a few thousand dollars a year to avoid having to get a part-time job during class sessions, and maybe even during summer vacations.

I guess then we will work our counting out individually until it works good, and then we will think of a way of arranging a team play.

Another thing, is the smallest table minimum bet really 15$?

Thanks for your opinions!
