Help with European rules

#1
Hello,

After a few tries with basic strategy at our local casino I decided to learn how to count cards. I got a Million Dollar Blackjack book from where I learned Advanced plus/minus. The problem now is that flash cards included with this book only apply for Atlantic City and Nevada. Where should I get the accurate ones?

Casino rules are: dealer doesnt peek, 6D, stand on S17, early surrender (can't surrender vs Ace), you can resplit pairs and double after split, penetration is at least 3/4 (usualy 4/5).

Does anyone recomend any other level 1 count for this particular game type?

And last question: Is it better to play on an empty table or on a table full of other players since count changes with every card and bets are only placed at start?

Thanks for your help in advance

Uston's book and count's are is pretty much obsolete, why don't you learn something like Hi-Lo or KO with which information for a beginner is much more freely available?

Whilst you're learning and practising in a casino, I would suggest playing at busy tables. The game will be slower, so you'll have more time make sure you have counted correctly. I would even suggest you sit at first base, so that you can play your hand then have plenty of time to count the table afterwards without getting the two confused. You'll also lose less money. When you have counting in a casino down to an art, you should play under less crowded conditions, so that you can get in more hands per hour.

Can you tell me where roughly where in Europe offers ES?

I am playing in Slovenia. Here every casino group have their own set of rules and ES is not a very popular one :(

As you suggested I will change counting system. I think I will try with KO, it is not hard to learn but I don't completely understand the math behind it. There are plenty information on the internet and in books so I don't think that would be a problem.
