Unbalenced Question

#1
i have been using KO ever since i started counting but i keep reading about how the farther you are in the deck the more inaccurate the count is(i think thats right?) i dont know what system i should use. I like not having to convert to TC but i want a system that is accurate enough i was looking into the Red 7s either that or should i stay with KO? is KO really good?

P.s what are indices?

You're either not reading correctly or the writer is writing unclearly. YES, an unbalanced count doesn't always reflect the true count. NO, you can't tell the difference. Even a state-of-the-art Level 3 balanced count isn't going to have a perfect correlation, either, but it's good enough.

It's far more important that you play a system well than to play the perfect system.

Well, this is a lot like asking whether a particular sports team is good. Everyone has their own opinion about who's the absolute best, but most people can agree on who's going to make the playoffs.

KO will make the playoffs. Hi-Lo will make the playoffs. Red 7 will make the playoffs. They're not favorites to win it all, but they're the best systems for beginners and the most valued systems for the effort they require.

Indices (plural of index) are points at which certain playing decisions should be changed. Basic strategy says that hitting hard 16 vs. dealer 10 is the right move, but at positive counts, standing hard 16 vs. dealer 10 is the right move. The index for hard 16 vs. dealer 10 is 0 (above the index you should switch your decision).

TKO is the easiest and strongest system to beat casinos. It has finally been completely explained and taught in a new book, "The Color of Blackjack." Ken has reviewed it and his sim results show big gains over regular KO. TKO is the new paradigm in ease and power. Check out the post, "The Color of Blackjack" improvements to KO (Ken gave it a thumbs up) or go to http://www.thecolorofblackjack.com
