I play some lower level stuff in St. Louis casinos...has anyone had experiences with comps there. It seems like they are incredibly difficult to get, just curious if others have had the same experience. And have you actually gotten food comps from PBs, they always say that you accumulate points and then can use that towards food.

It is VERY difficult to get Blackjack comps at Ameristar in St. Charles. They will comp you on either today's play or the average of your last five visits. A pit critter estimated the comping rate at 1/10th of an average bet per hour. So a $5 average better would get about 50 cents an hour in comps. He said to not hold him to the estimate and I may be remembering wrong anyway. Most critters say you must reach $5 in comps before they will issue one. (although one critter did give me a $1 and $2 comp one day)

Im not to sure about the STL comps, but through the grape vine i heard they are cutting back on alot do to the "economy". there even skimping on the buffet! On a side note, the comps in booneville are fair at $10 a hand/an hour you reviece somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.50 ish... idk about the $5 hands i serious doubt they pay much attention to that low of play.
