Vegas Comps, stiffing

My gal and I are currently booked for a free weekend in Vegas at a very nice strip location, under my name. Said location isn't optimal for playing, but since the offer did not imply or require gambling, it doesn't matter.

Another strip hotel has offered her a free multi-day stay, plus various food comps, and a nontrivial amount of playable chips. Nice deal. This other place isn't ideal for playing either (heat/scrutiny reputation). She received the offer due to (small) play in a related property.

We're strongly thinking about booking both rooms, collecting the goodies, and stiffing hotel #2 almost entirely (except for the free chips!). We'll either let a local friend camp there, or we'll go in once in a while and mess up the sheets.

I've never thought much about 'comp management', but does this seem OK? Any etiquette I should know about? We do like the recent flood of comp offers, and would like to keep 'em coming, so if we can do this in a way that keeps the stores reasonably happy with us it would be ideal. My fantasy is to someday get a flight rebate.

As far as "stiffing" them, just go ahead and do it.
Some casinos will keep inviting you for quit awhile after you stiff them.
Some will not.

Flight rebates are largely a thing of the past, unless you are playing a lot of hours with a very high average bet.
This is because airfare comps are a "hard comp" - actual cash - as in greenbacks.

I just found out that the best promo available is in my name, not hers.

This doesn't change our plan, which is to mostly stiff them, play somewhat gently there rated (w/promo chips) and also gently wherever else I care about comps or coming back - but much more aggressively everywhere else (anonymously).

Harrahs is currently offering $300 flight rebates, but there are a few restrictions. google-Harrah's $300 flight rebates for the details.

As far as stiffing them goes, Harrahs now has a policy that requires you to checkout either via your in room TV or in person down at the desk. Leave before midnite,the day before you are scheduled to depart and they charge $50 Early Departure Fee.

Also, if both hotels are owned by the same chain- Harrahs or MGM- they no longer allow double bookings.
