St. Louis

Of these three St. Louis casinos, could anyone who has played in them rate their blackjack game from best to worst... or least worst to way worst... or something.

Casino Queen

Lumiere Place (I already read where parking lot break-ins are prevalent here)

President Casino

Thus far I have read, seen or heard nothing good of any of the three! On top of that I have ruled out playing any casinos in Oklahoma. How would you rate these three places from best to worst?

Casino Queen is one of the worst I have ever seen.

It is no peek, and the pen is 40-50% !!!!!! With PC heat!!!!!

It is nicely remodeled but the buffet even sucks.

You get a nice view if the arch from there.

Drop a couple $ in a slot and you will get several months of free slot $ and a couple free hotel stays - that's the only reason to visit.

Lumiere is better - it is 5/6 and sometimes a tad better. I have never felt unsafe in the parking garage.

President was 5.25/6 on one visit and then 4.5/6 the next visit. It is a shadow of its former self - it is in shambles and there are now empty and neglected parts of the boat - Lumiere basically replaced it and they are either going to close the President boat or refurbish - I am guessing close.

Warning: only go to the President during daylight. It is in a dangerous empty part of downtown on the river. I felt safer walking to the El Cortez garage at 2 AM than crossing the street to the President after dark. Earlier this year I had a security guard escort me to my car because 3 guys asked me for money on the way in - these are hard times and people are desperate - a non-local could be an easy mark.

Ameristar is worth a look-see - sometimes better than 5/6, and DD DOA $15 can be greater than 50%, but sometimes they only open it in the evening or weekends.

For all the crap that HET gets, Harrahs STL is pretty good - if you go in the late evening or weekends, its great for wonging and the pen may surprise you. Mums the word!

Just wanted to note that the penetration at Lumierre and President's must've changed since you last visited...you'd be lucky to find a 4.5/6...usually 4/6 or even worse. But that's my experience at low limit tables...high limit I've never even looked at...

My experience is a couple of years old, but they all seemed mediocre at best.

Don't forget the Argosy(?) in Afton, Ill. Also mediocre.

Hard to picture

It's difficult to imagine that there are places that offer crummier games than Atlantic City but I guess such a thing exists according to you guys! St. Charles looks a bit better than St. Louis but there really is just not much at all worth stopping for between here and Nevada when it really comes down to it!
