Default Question about ASM??

I was at Barona Casino it was early in the morning and i noticed three guys and a pit boss around a asm with a laptop hooked up to it. The screen on the

computer showed all the card suites and values. I curiously walked over there to see what they were doing and the PB about tackled me and said to

go away.Like they were tring to hide something. I was wondering if they can make the cards come out in a certain order. example: if the count were to go

to a + count then have the rest of the cards come x,6,x or something like that to have an ap place a big bet then bust. It just seems like when the

count favors the player the cards come out like that. I would like your guys opinion on this. Thank you

Default Tinker with an ASM..

Taco, The other 3 guys, how were they dressed... suits? About how long were they fiddling with it? What happened after they finished? Did the pb also try to wave other patrons away? I wonder what they were doing, and if this - what looks like suspicious behavior - has been observed elsewhere?

Yes they were in suites. The casino was empty and I sat at an empty table nearby to observe what they were doing and the PB that told me to leave was watching me the whole time. They worked on it for about 30mins then put it back on the table to be used. It was not a game on the computer screen they would put the cards in an order, shuffle them then check the order by hand. I have not seen this done anywhere before. I played there before they had the asm and did very well there for a long time. Then they started using the asm and my win rate has gone down there. I'm just wondering if anyone has had that experence at Barona.

If they were cheating the customers, why would they fiddle with the machine in full view of the patrons and the surveillance cameras, and not fix the machine in an unmonitored back room?

Default Interesting but not enough information

There are several new table game systems available to casinos and the manufacturers of all of them are suffering because casinos do not want to spend the money on them and casinos know that the previous systems landed up chasing blackjack players away.
Perhaps this was a part of a demonstration for another system. Some manufacturers are making special offers to casinos to partner up with them, the thinking being that if (in this case) it works in Barona, then they can sell it to others.
Keep your eyes and ears open and let us know if anything changes there.

Will do thanks for the info. I like that casino and hope my loss is just variance and not casino cheating.
