Default Is this game profitable?

Hi - I just noticed a casino that seems to have really improved their penetration. The rules for the game are: 6 deck, Double after split, resplit Aces up to 4 hands, No surrender, H17 (i know, it sucks), double anything. Not good rules, not too terrible...the big kicker though is that obviously dealer vary, but all dealers cut no more than 1.25 decks off. I some are literally cutting off only 1/2 deck, not even exagerrating. I'm still new at counting so my bankroll is pretty small...what kinda profit could I make with a 1:6 versus a 1:10 spread? Does this sound like a game worth putting time into? Most times table have 3-4 other people, but if I go late enough I can get games with 1-2 other people. Would a full table ruin this game?

Sorry about all the questions...thanks for the help!

Those questions can be answered by running a sim.

I'd still keep a spread of 10x or higher, even if it's good penetration.

a 6D game with 1D cut off is still worthwhile, unless there's a better game easily available.

.5D cutoff turns it into a game worth seeking out.

I agree that Blackjack Attack would be the easiest way to see the details without running a sim.

alright...just noticed it last night and didn't have time to check out BJ attack last night so I thought I'd post it while at work to see if anyone had thoughts. I'll do a little digging in BJ attack and see what I can find tonight. I really need to look into buying a sim, would just make me that much more sure in everything I do. How much is the one everyone uses here?

I use CVData but CVCX is cheaper:

A 6D game with 1 deck pen is fantastic, especially if you can come and go as you please. If you can find dealers cutting down to a half deck this is a game to protect and play slowly.

Yea - that's kinda what I was hoping. I've seen good penetration with 1.5 decks...then sometimes they'd cut down to 1. Now on a few nights I've seen them consistently cutting to 1 and sometimes (dealer dependent) going down to 1/2 deck. I'm not too worried about playing slowly though cause I'm working on a small bank roll and am spreading 5 - 60 or so....

Well, here's mu usual nonsense on Don's Tables 10.58 thru 10.61 for 1-8, 1-12, 1-16 play-all practical spreads for an H1& DAS game at 4/6, 4.5/6, 5/6 and 5.5/6.

I don't think it assumes re-splitting Aces and it does assume use of I18 indexes. And a Hi-Lo counting system.

Of course, using a sim where you could assume any pen level, using indexes or not, re-splitting Aces or not, using 1-6 or 1-10 spreads etc would be better.

Don't use it for back-counting.

It's just intended to put you in a general ballpark.

You can change roll and $unit size if you want - if you have a small roll, pay maybe more attention to your risk than your EV. Or not, since I'm old and you're probably not lol.

Hope it may help in some way. Any questions, let me know.

Default Muchos Gracias!!!

Wow~! That's a pretty pimp table you got there. I'm at work right now so can't really go through it, but took a glance and it looks amazing. I'll spend some time into using it tonight and will definitely ask if I have any questions. thanks for the help though, it's much appreciated!
