Default Bringing basic strategy cards to the table

Hi guys,

Just wondering if Crown allows you to refer to a basic strategy card while you're sitting at the table?

Also, could someone please confirm if the following are the correct rules to enter into the basic strategy engine on this website for the standard blackjack game at Crown.
-- 6 or 8 decks
-- Dealer Stands on Soft 17
-- Double 9,10,11 Only
-- Double After Split Allowed
-- No Surrender
-- No peek (European style)

Thanks.

I've never brought in a basic strategy card to a casino but I don't think anyone has ever been thrown out of any casino for referring to one.

Additionally, many low-roller BJ tables at Crown are HIT soft-17. These are the 'red felt' tables.

Also, Crown's BJ games are no-hole-card BUT you only lose your original bet against a dealer BJ, so its mathematically equivalent to US hole card play. Its NOT European No Hole Card.

My experience - LV and Alberta tables, no problem. I've gambled at the crown, but didn't have a BS card with me. (The crown handles the hole card the same way that Alberta does).

Default crown info

Just be careful at Crown, they now have at least 4 differing sets of black rules based on the minimum bet, time of day and location within the casino.

As StudiodeKadent mentioned, avoid the red felt.

Crown's a shitty place to play blackjack unless your willing to play larger stakes.

Couldn't agree more about those crappy red-felt tables. But where at Crown are there S17 tables (I mean on the main floor - not Mahoganny Room)??
Would also like to state that I am a new member to this forum and find most posts absolutely fantastic!! Thanks for the insight.

Hey Ringy, 4 different sets of blackjack rules based on the minimum bet... (all in the same casino)...WTF? That is straight out of Alice In Blunderland. What is the big P up to now? I guess the Melbourne plopulation already begins confused, so that don't matter much... to Packer, does it? Like Tarzan, have you got a good Batman or female celeb disguise hired yet, along with appropriate undergarments? I guess you will need to outsuck the suckees down at good ol Crown. Good luck mate.

Default up the preverbial

Yes, walking through crown casino, its like watching retards humping a door knob, its funny at first, then downright disturbing.

Upstairs near the cinema entrances you will find some non csm games, usually 15 minimum, then there is also around there some stupid "sports blackjack" as well as some $10, even $5 minimum csm games!!! all to be avoided like genital warts. - again all varies on time of day day of the week etc.

Seriously Katz, the place is really hard to keep track of however there is a common theme, THEY ALL SUCK. if crown introduces it, you can bet your last dollar on it being a **** game.

Downstairs there is some $30 min games, plus some $50 and $100 min games, but again their rules vary wildly, based on day of the week and time, even at their best they are still not very good, again, avoid.

In the mahog they play a few different games, again totally based on demand. example: I saw a couple of Gentlemen wanted to play a certain game and crown were happy to oblige (6d man shuff, S17) awful Pen from what i saw.

Crown still has some holes, but like everything you gotta find em, and work hard on em, no such thing as a free lunch.

cheers

Ringy

Re: Basic Strategy Clue Cards

Ive never seen anyone use them.

But without offending anyone, if you dont know BS off the top of your head, and with the quality of crowns games, you are better off putting your money in a term deposit at 5% interest, save up for long enough to study the game, learn it backwards and then go to the states.

Do not bring a B. S. Card.

If you are unable to memorize Basic Strategy
you need someone to handle your funds for you.

Find an affordable hobby where you do not have
to handle cash or sharp objects.
