Default comped rooms

if using the same name to check-in, can casino's in the same chain (ie HET, MGM) tell if you have rooms booked across multiple properties in the same chain? ie if i book at both NYNY and Mandalay Bay, will either reservation and/or host desk at one property be able to tell ive already got reservations at the other property?

thanks,
rukus

Harrahs can, and will no longer allow double bookings. I've read of some cases where both bookings were denied, leaving people without rooms upon arrival.
I can't speak for MGM as I don't use them.
