just ripe for those who want to practice a little....

Single Deck, $5-50, full pay (3:2), 4-way split except aces, DAS (except aces).....50-80% pen depending on dealer and #ofPlayers. No cut card in the the deck so it's Dealer's decision to shuffle....hand shuffle. Open now in the evenings.

Single Deck, $10-$250 (IIRC), 6:5, typical 21 rules. This one I won't play as it's 21 not BJ, but for those who aren't caring about the 4 possible blackjacks that might happen in a single deck, have at it.

I have a feeling the $5SD will be open more as I will be playing it vs. Pai Gow now.... Was tired of their (now) 8deck $3 shoe with the bad players....

OK Sandy Eggo, I'm going to give it a try on Tuesday. For me it's a two hour drive but a I'm a little crazy.

? - so did breakfast at the beach result in your screen name?

Mine resulted in teaching kids self defense.

DID I GO TO THE SAME CASINO???

Went to Santa Ysabel Resort and Casino.

I was surprised.

Got there at 10 am on a Tuesday. 1 BJ table open:
8D, das, surrender, $3-$50. A good game for low rollers, penetration to a deck or a deck and a quarter.

The Single Deck game opened at 1 PM, I shouldn't have waited.
6:5, $15 min!!!!

I left.

Sorry for falling off the face of the earth...my horses took priority for a while.

Yes, the $5/single deck that is 3:2 is open late afternoons and evenings. The6:5 one has pretty much been "put away" due to the popularity of the 3:2.

And yes it's $5-$50 on the single deck for now. They are trying to get better "pitch dealers" in there as it is handshuffled.

The $3 - $250 8D shoe now is a full game, 3:2, 4-way splits, etc.

The $10/double deck is also $3:2 with a $250 max bet.

Their biggest issue is that they are losing money. How? Giving away too many comp dollars on the slots, cheap food, and they had really cheap drinks for a long time. Their location sucks (an hour from anywhere close, and further for anyone else) and the return trip home after dark is tough. And now their hours are even more sucky....8am-midnight, Sun -Thrs, Fri-Sat 8am - 2am. Until there is local lodging, this will be an issue.

They are trying to get a new BJ Tournament going, not sure of it's start month. They are running small poker tourneys on Th/Fri/Sat/Sun at the moment.
